With FreezeTech, each tube features a temperature indicator patch that starts turning blue at 4 C and becomes dark blue when the tube (and its contents) reach 0 C. The indicator patch returns to its original transparent grey color as the sample temperature approaches 4 C and above. This serves as a warning that critical samples may be reaching undesirable temperatures, making it the ideal vessel for transport of temperature sensitive materials.
