The Step One Adhesive Mats are made of thin layers of adhesive coated polyethylene film. Each tacky layer removes and traps dust, dirt and other particulates from shoes and cart wheels with each entry into the cleanroom. They work very well in high traffic areas.

Our Step One Mats are designed to resist adhesive transfer, preventing sheet to sheet delamination. To prevent distortion and slippage, the adhesive backing secures the mat to the floor. Each mat has thirty numbered, removable sheets for quick and easy maintenance. The edges are not beveled to ensure that each sheet is contaminate free. Mats are treated with an Anti-Microbial Agent. 18" x 30"

Sticky mats use a high-tack adhesive surface to pull dust, dirt, and particulates off the bottom of shoes and cart wheels before they enter a controlled environment.
How many layers are in a standard sticky mat?
Most mats contain 30 or 60 peel-off layers; once a sheet becomes dirty, you simply peel it back to reveal a fresh adhesive surface.
Where is the best place to install a sticky mat?
They should be placed at every entrance to a cleanroom or sterile lab, covering the full width of the doorway to ensure every footfall is captured.
Are there different tack levels available?
Yes, "High-Tack" is used for heavy-duty industrial shoes, while "Standard-Tack" is preferred for delicate cleanroom booties to prevent tearing.
How do I know when to peel the mat?
When you see visible dirt buildup or notice a decrease in the "grip" when stepping on the mat, it is time to refresh the layer.
